Happy Birthday Reagan!

Our lil’ Reagan is not so little anymore! He just turned 3 and is growing too fast.

We went to California to celebrate his birthday. One of the highlights of the trip was our visit to the dinosaurs in Cabazon, California. Reagan absolutely loved it.

Ask him about them and he’ll tell you all about getting eaten by T-Rex. (You can climb up T-Rex and view out of his mouth.)

We had Hayden’s blessing on January 3rd. It was a great day.

We really appreciate all the family who came to be with Hayden on his special day.

It’s fun to see how the two of them compare at about the same age. Reagan was a tiny bit bigger than Hayden, but Hayden has a little bit more hair and it looks like he will have brown eyes like Jeremy.

Panama and Fall 2009

There’s something about the look, feel, and smell of Fall that makes it one of the best seasons of the year. It’s not too hot and it’s not too cold. It’s just right (well, at least here in Vegas anyway).

We had ourselves a great summer and created a lot of great memories. We went on a bunch of trips, including a big one to Panama in August. Panama is a beautiful country that is worth visiting if you haven’t had the chance to do so. We really enjoyed ourselves down there. Jeremy’s dad resides down there part of the year and we all got to be able to spend time with him.

Reagan loved the daily swimming in the swimming pools and the ocean as well as visiting Monkey Island and seeing the gigantic ships on the Panama Canal.

Can't End It All Without Going to Disneyland!

Reagan is growing to be such a great kid. His progress over the past year has just been incredible. He has a way of saying and doing the most hilarious stuff. It’s really neat seeing his personality develop.

Well, DeeAnn is definitely ready to have this baby. A couple of false labors + uncomfortable sleeping positions = Determination to give birth. The baby’s due date is October 29th but DeeAnn insists that it’s really today instead of the 29th. We joke about buying Castor Oil, but she’s not that desperate yet.

We’re super excited to have another little guy in our family. It’ll be really interesting to see how Reagan interacts with his little brother. We’ve had Reagan for so long that it’s hard for us to imagine having another kid. Guess we’ll find out soon enough.

We will post updates via Twitter, so you’ll be able to see the updates next to the Twitter bird on the top.

Wish us luck! :)

Dedication and Persistence

Jeremy here. I have a lot of admiration for people who have dedication and persistence. Among the people whom I greatly admire is Lance Armstrong.

Diagnosed at the age of 25 years old with testicular cancer, a tumor that metastasized to his brain and lungs, he was given less than a 50% chance of survival rate.

Everyone wrote him off and thought that they were seeing the end of him. He fought it, overcame it, and rose to be one of the greatest cyclists the world has ever seen.

I love stories like that. I love the above videos made by Nike. Very inspiring.

So, whatever goals, aspirations, and dreams you have – hold on to them tight, never give up, and buckle up for the ride.

Endless Summer

Summer is one of our favorite times of the year! We’re enjoying ourselves and are having a ton of fun.

Quick summary of what we’ve been up to:

  • DeeAnn’s belly is growing by the day! We’re very excited to meet our little guy this Halloween.
  • Reagan is becoming such a cute little boy. He says the cutest things ever and we’re having a blast watching him grow.
  • Jeremy has been super busy with his businesses. He really enjoys PPC Arbitrage.
  • We went to Disneyland with Ranae and Shaun and had ourselves a blast. Reagan LOVED it.
  • We went to Utah on the 4th of July and enjoyed hanging out with family and friends.

Hope all is well with everyone and you guys are likewise having a fantastic summer!

Jeremy with his Grandma - 1981

My grandmother, Patricia E. Runnells, passed away last Friday morning, April 17th.

A part of me died that morning with her. She was the mother figure in my life.

Grandma & Jeremy - 1981

We’re sorely going to miss her – her presence, her calls, her delicious dinners, her flowers, her kindness, her thoughtfulness, her stories, her laughter and her love.

We saw her last for dinner just two days before her death. Had I known it would be the last time I saw her, I would’ve hugged her and kissed her longer that night when I said “good bye”.

Grandma wrote a book a few years ago for her children and grandchildren. I quote from her book:

“To this I add my fondest wish and prayer that my children and grandchildren would carry on, living the gospel, being members of the church and assume personally the responsibility of honoring the memories of our noble ancestors by living as they wished us to live, and by fulfilling the hopes they had for us.

“Families can be forever, and because of the great sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the Savior of mankind, the day will come, if we have so lived for it, when we will be joyfully together as families in the eternities.”

I hope to live my life in such a way that honors her and her legacy.

Grandma, I love you and I will miss you.

Until we meet again in the eternities…Aloha Nui Loa.
